Preparing a Rock Solid Foundation for New Bridges in Wasco
The Issue:
The Wasco Water District had Bridges, crossing their irrigation canals, that were failing. A General Contractor was hired to build two new vehicle bridges, and one pedestrian bridge. The first step is to provide a solid Foundation for these bridges. The General Contractor contacted Saber.
The Preparation Work:
First of all, trenches were dug, and framed. Then Saber Drilled and Highly Torqued approximately 30 foot Helical Posts into the ground. Last of all we attached 8" x 8" plates to the top of each post. Our part of the job was finished after the plates were installed. Later, other contractors would attach larger plates to ours. Then they would pour concrete, to form a extremely solid foundation for the new bridge.
