Saber was called in to stabilize and level flooring of an office/industrial building within the Park Place campus in Irvine, CA. This was the third of several ongoing projects Saber is doing at the multi-building campus. Floors had sunk as much as 3 inches in places, which prevented many of the doors from closing without scraping or binding. The sinking also left noticeable gaps between the floor and base molding. To stabilize the concrete floor, Saber drilled 5/16-inch holes for the installation of injection ports at 3-foot intervals. We then pumped 2,439 pounds of PL400H PolyLevel® two-part, high-density (4lb) hydro-insensitive polyurethane foam system. This filled the voids and stabilized the concrete slabs. Saber utilized 500 feet of line to access the work sites from the Saber production vehicle. The holes were filled with grout suitable for the project. The flooring was ready for use within 15 minutes, and our work did not cause any disruption to the office workers. The project was completed in two days.
