TripleSafe Sump Pump System
Challenge
A home in Beverly Hills, Ca, had a small crawl space in which water was getting in and causing damage to the property. The home is currently under renovations and the property owner knew that getting this crawlspace area cleaned and dried out was a must to insure that the new remodel would not be affected. The homeowner wanted something that would stand the test of time and be easily maintained.
Solution
Saber Geotechnical Construction Solutions remedied the homeowner’s problem by installing the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System. TripleSafe™'s oversize plastic sump liner contains 3 sump pumps that can work together or separately depending on pumping demands. With the TripleSafe™ system, the homeowner does not have to worry about high pumping demands that can overwhelm or burn out single-pump systems. And if there's a power outage, the TripleSafe™ system will keep operating, thanks to a battery-powered backup pump. The homeowner was impressed with the fact that this pump was top of the line with three pumps in one. Pump 1, being a high quality efficient, Zoeller® 1/3 hp pump, and does most of the pumping. Pump 2 is a 1/2 hp Zoeller® pump set a little higher in the sump hole and will turn on in the event that the first pump fails, or cannot keep up. This pump is more powerful and is equipped with a separate discharge line to give an extra boost in the rare cases needed. Finally pump 3 is an UltraSump (battery operated) pump that will kick in if the power goes out.
The crawl space had standing water that needed to be removed before the installation of the TripleSafe Pump could begin. The crew had to insure the area was clean and dry before installing the TripleSafe pump. The crawlspace was then prepped for the TripleSafe Pump installation. The homeowner now knows that the TripleSafe™ Pump will go to work and keep the moisture out of the crawl space, on its own even if the power goes out the pump will continue to do its job.
