Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: CleanSpace in Lomita

Saber was contracted to make a home in Lomita, California, more energy efficient, by installing CleanSPace in the crawlspace of the home. With the CleanSpace system the homeowner will see improvements to their heating and cooling bills, not to mention the fact that the area can now be used for storage. The space was encapsulated by the Saber crew, and 11 new vent covers where installed along with 2 new ever last doors.

Covering the area with a dimpled polyethylene membrane under the CleanSpace liner allows water to flow to a sump in the crawlspace.

The CleanSpace liner is fastened to the top of the walls of crawlspace which allows for drainage to the sump pump and stops water vapor.

The crawlspace has been waterproofed and encapsulated.

Vent covers

Now that the CleanSpace encapsulation is complete the vents are covered. You no longer need vents as the moisture from the earth in the crawlspace is no longer an issue.
