Leak Repair with Polyurethane Injection

Leak Repair in California

Prevent water leaks. Polyurethane material is used to stop leaks and to fill underground voids without digging.

Leaks have been the bane of mankind since our time living in caves. Saber Foundation Repair's use of advanced polyurethane resins is the latest technology in the battle to keep water out of the basement.

Whether you have hairline cracks or wide cracks, dry cracks or cracks that are gushing water, we have the appropriate resin to create fast-acting watertight seals.

How it works

Saber Foundation Repair technicians are trained to inject resins, under pressure, into all types of cracks, joints, and leaks. The resins react with water present (or applied) in the leak opening and expand to form a water-tight gasket.

Depending on the situation, the resin may be injected into, or behind, the structure. Saber uses top-quality resins from Prime Resins, where each resin is formulated for the specific task at hand. For example, resins used for cracks of 1/16 in. or less are different from the ones used to stop a wide, spacious gaps.

We offer two major types of leak repair resins: hydrophilic and hydrophobic. Hydrophilic grouts readily mix with water and seek out water to get an excellent "bite" into the pores of wet concrete. This is important when trying to seal a crack in wet concrete.

Hydrophilic grouts are used to stop leaks through cracks and joints in underground structures. When cracks or joints open and close from temperature changes, a tight water seal and bond is maintained due to the flexibility of a hydrophilic grout.

Hydrophobic grouts are typically used to fill voids and stabilize soils due to their low viscosity, high expansion rate, and their ability to set up under wet conditions without diluting. A hydrophobic resin repels water and when injected into loose soil or voids, it expands and replaces any water present.

Because rigid hydrophobic material is not affected by fluctuation in the moisture content of soil, it is virtually unaffected by the water table. It retains its strength, size, and impermeability under almost all soil conditions.
