Nyki G.'s Oceanside home had a crack in the bedroom slab with a 2" drop. Project Design Specialist Evan B. performed a thorough analysis of the problem and recommended the installation of helical piers in order to provide a permanent solution. Homeowner Elizabeth S. in Oceanside had a problem with her pool deck. The weight of the pool had caused a crevice to form between the decorative brick surrounding the pool and the concrete walkway. This was not only unsightly, but also unsafe. Project Design Specialist Steven O. recommended our 2-part Concrete Protection System. This consists of the injection of PolyLevel for stabilization and the installation of Nexus Pro joint sealant to repair the crevice. The work was done by Foreman Scott L. and his crew. The old caulking was removed and backer rod was installed, then the Nexus Pro. PolyLevel was injected into 21 holes around the pool deck for stabilization and then filled with grout. The results exceeded Elizabeth's expectations. She writes, "Scott and his partner were very professional, efficient and courteous. There is no sign anyone worked on my pool deck because they cleaned up behind themselves. They make a great team!" We at Saber are happy that now Elizabeth's pool is not only more attractive, but safer. We are happy that she was WOW!ed with our service.     

Chino Hills resident Al D. contacted Saber regarding Door and Windows that were sticking in his Home. Cracks were also starting to form in the walls. Voids have been forming under the Foundation. The Foundation Sinking and Cracking. Saber installed Push Piers. We Pressurized the Piers to Lift the Foundation. We then Filled the Voids with Polyurethane to Stabilize the Foundation. An investigation of a property in Encinitas, California, found that the foundation should be supported by means of underpinning, in the areas of failure.  In addition to supporting the foundation, it is also important to raise the foundation to maximum practical recovery, to prevent future failure.   A crew was scheduled to fix the issue, they installed seven push piers, under the foundation footings, to the load bearing stratum.  Once the piers were installed and the brackets placed, the crew then lifted the home to maximum practical recovery.  Once the lift was completed the rear deck was leveled, by repositioning the support beams.   The customer was very satisfied with the outcome of the project. 

Foreman Dustin Wyatt and his team were tasked with helping a family in Solana Beach rid their crawlspace of moisture and preventing it from causing the temperature in their home to rise. They were experiencing astonomical electric bills and needed a permanent solution. Though there were no visible signs, the Saber team used a hygrometer to detect humidity in the crawlspace. After diagnosing the problem, Saber proceeded to begin with drainage matting, allowing any water to flow out in the event there is a broken pipe or something else causing extremely wet conditions. A pink wall was tehn attached to the concrete foundation wall, acting as a vapor barrier accompanied by caulking. Saber's blue matting is then cut and and placed on top of the drainage matting and attached to the pink wall using posts and seamless tape. Saber was able to solve the homeowner's problem of a humid and moist crawlspace by installing CleanSpace to prevent any humidity entering the crawlspace to no longer touch the soil and create moisture, therefore greatly reducing the amount of relative humidity throughou their home. The homeowner was very interested in the process, was present to view the installation, and is more than pleased with the final result.

Woods Real Estate Services contacted Saber regarding fixing a trip hazard on a sidewalk. Saber's Project Design Specialist saw that concrete grinding would eliminate the misaligned joints. The attached picture shows what the issue was.   Our Crew ground the raised areas down. The walkway is now smooth.      

Ms. Mitchell, a resident of Palmdale, California, had noticed cracks inching along the upper walls of her home, as well as cracks in her footings. She knew that these were symptoms of soil settlement or foundation problems and wanted to make sure that her foundation was stable and level. After researching to learn the best way to remedy her situation, she contacted Saber Geotechnical Construction Solutions. After calling Saber, the team met with Ms. Mitchell and agreed to install 7 push piers to stabalize her foundation; 3 inside her garage, 3 along the side of the home, and one in the rear. In order to install the piers, concrete needed to be removed. After push pier installation was completed, Saber took great care in repouring and replacing the concrete. Ms. Mitchell left us a glowing review and appreciated the hard work and due diligence of Manager Trevar Akins, Foreman Alvin Rodriguez, and team members Dimitri, and Mike. She stated 'It almost looks like it was never touched. Thank you for keeping me in the loop on the job progress and showing up on time.'

Palmdale resident Jalmet contacted Saber regarding bad crack issues in his garage floor. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a free homeowner inspection. Replacing the concrete in the garage would not have fixed this issue. The shifting soils were causing the garage foundation to weaken and shift. Our crew excavated holes that exposed the base of the foundation. We then attached Helical Piers. The holes were filled in and work area was cleaned up. These Foundation Piers not only strengthen, but provide long term stability to the home. The attached picture shows a installed Helical Pier. Jalmet was happy with the result.

A homeowner in Rancho Santa Margarita, Ca. saw a few foundation repair contractors when they first started seeing signs of foundation failure. Once they had the work done by a company, they thought their problems were over. However, a year later, they saw that their floors were cracking and shifting again. The polyurethane that was pumped under their floors and slab was failing. They reached out to Saber to hopefully solve their foundation issues for good. Saber's project design team went out and determined that not only did the home need some additional poly, but the slab foundation needed stabilizing push piers to permanently stabilize the home. Much of the old poly from the previous company had to come out. It was also determined that an in-ground drainage system needed to be installed to redirect water away from the home and foundation. Once the production crew came to the home, the project began. The foreman, Curtis Larson, discussed the project with the homeowner and what the end results were expected to be. The customer expressed his need for level floors and closed cracks that had formed in the walls inside and outside of the home.  Concrete was removed and holes were dug in order to insert the stabilizing piers. There were roots 2-4 inches thick, making the going tough for the team. Once the roots and old foam insert was removed, the crew was successfully able to install the piers. Once the home was lifted and stabilized, the soil under the raised slab was backfilled and compacted. The customer was pleased with the level of lift.  PolyLevel needed to be injected into the homeowner's kitchen, living room, and main hall area, leveling the areas. Another crew began trenching for the drainage system, PVC pipe, for future water re-direction. Roots were cleared in order to successfully pay the pipe and install the system. The customer was happy to learn that any rain or other water wouldn't compromise the soils around his foundation.

Homeowner Ken G. of Rancho Santa Margarita was concerned about a crack on the outside bottom corner of his garage. He wanted a professional opinion and requested a free evaluation. Project Design Specialist Ron C. performed a thorough inspection of the property. Ron found that the property had no settlement issues, the concrete was level, and the garage door was even at the corner where the crack was. It would merely require a cosmetic fix. Not only was Ken relieved, he was very impressed with Ron. He writes, "Ron was great! It turned out the area I was concerned about was not a problem at all, so no charge.
