Smart Jacks and Seismic Strengthening in Pacific Palisades
Pacific Palisades resident Robert C. contacted Saber in regards to the State of California Earthquake Brace and Bolt (EBB) promotion. Our Project Design Specialist performed a thorough evaluation of Robert's home.
Our crew added a Steel Cross Beam and all metal Smart Jacks in the Crawlspace. seismic strengthening Universal Foundation Plates and A35 framing angles were also installed.
Robert was happy with the completed job and the clean up.
Sump Pump and Basin Replacement in Woodland Hills
A homeowner in Woodland Hills, CA had finally had enough of their too small basin for their sump pump. With the sufficient rains that had been falling in the area, he found that it overflowed into his crawlspace and eventually, the pump itself died. A musty odor began to come up through the house and, when the weather dried, bugs and other creatures were attracted to the moisture under the home.
Upon calling Saber, a project design specialist came out to perform a full home inspection. Upon inspecting the crawlspace, it was found that a SmartSump would be the perfect solution to the problem. It was also noted that a SmartPipe 7.5 was required to help further the solution of the homeowner's wet crawlspace problems. Once the production crew came to perform the services, the task only took one day to complete.
The homeowner was happy with the results and finally had an operating sump pump again. His crawlspace is now dry and free of flooding rainwater whenever it rains.
Strengthening a Home Foundation in Woodland Hills
Woodland Hilld resident David contacted Saber regarding cracks that were appearing in the ceiling of his home. He stated that he'd lived in his home for 40 years. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a free, and thorough Homeowner inspection. The soils had shifted under David's home, thus weakening the Foundation.
Our crew excavated holes next to the weakened areas of the Foundation. Next, they attached Push Piers to the base of the Foundation, and pressurized them. These Push Piers lifted the parts of the Foundation that were sinking. They also gave the entire Foundation consistant elevation. This stopped the cracking in the ceiling, and gave David and his wife, peace of mind.
PolyLevel (R) and Helical Piers in West hills
West Hills resident Jacob C. contacted Saber regarding cracks in the walls of his home. Our Project Design Specialist did a complete evaluation of Jacob's home.
Our crew leveled the slab using Helical Piers. We then filled the void space beneath the slab by using our PolyLevel process.
Jacob approved the finished job and clean up.
Sagging Floors in Topanga
Topanga resident Tiffany B. contacted Saber regarding sagging floors in her home. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a inspection of Tiffany's home. The Support Posts in the Crawlspace were sliding on of their concrete bases. Saber recommented installing Smart Jacks and Steel I Beams to solve this issue. Tiffany received a Saber's written Home Inspection Report.
Helical and Push Piers Used to Repair Sloping Patio in Calabasas
Calabasas resident Norman S. contacted Saber regarding his patio deck. Dan Froehlich provided a complete evaluation.
The job foreman and his crew were able to correct the creeping downward slope of the patio using helical and push piers.
Norman S. was satisfied with the results and the cleanup.
Settling Foundation in Shafter
Shafter resident Shane E. contacted Saber regarding cracks in the exterior walls of his home. He also told Saber that the windows and doors in his home were sticking. The attached picture shows one of the sticking doors. Saber's Project Design Specialist conducted a Free Homeowner Inspection. The Foundation of Sanes home was settling. The shifting soils has caused the Foundation to weaken, and subsequently sink. Saber recommended that push Piers be attached to the base of Shane's home Foundation. Saber would pressurize these piers, and lift the Foundation back to it's Consistent Elevation.
Foundation Issues in Lebec
Lebec resident Thomas T. contacted Saber regarding cracked concrete leading up to his industrial garage. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a thorough Inspection of this building. The Voids were also under the building's Foundation also. The Foundation, and areas of the outside of the building were sinking. Saber recommended Foundation Piers to Lift the Foundation back to a Consistent elevation. We also recommended that the voids be filled with Polyurethane. These suggestions would strengthen and stabilize the concrete foundation and outside concrete areas. Thomas received a written copy of Saber's Building Inspection Report.
PolyLevel (R) in Simi Valley, Ca
Simi Valley resident contacted Saber regarding uneven concrete on his home's sidewalks. This was becoming a trip hazard.
Our project design specialist performed a complete evaluation.
We were able to correct this trip hazard using our state-of-the-art PolyLevel process.
Arvon was satisfied with the finished job and clean up.
Preparing a Solid Foundation For Bridges in Wasco
The Wasco Water District had old bridges, that were failing. A contractor was hired for the project of building two new vehicle, and one pedestrian bridge crossing these irrigation canals. The contractor contacted Saber to anchor these bridges into the soils. Trenches had already been dug, and framed. Helical Piers approximately 30 feet long were drilled and torqued into the earth. Then 8" x 8" plates were attached to the top of the Piers. The attached picture shows three Piers that have been installed on the right side. Later, another contractor would attach larger plates to the plates Saber installed. Then concrete would be poured into the forms. Saber's preparation work insures that the finished bridge will be solid for several years.
