Bill S homeowner in Costa Mesa called Saber to work hand in hand with the structural engineer to repair and support the pier and beam structure of his raised foundation "Crawl Space" home. Engineer drawings called out for (4) Smart Jack girder supports as well as the removal and replacement of a failing grider.  The Smart Jack system was chosen for its engineered fill base and capacity of the entire install unit.   The Smart Jack system is a great  support solution to mitiagate against active clay soils under your home or to replace old and rotten timber supports.

Homeowners in Costa Mesa, needed to have their foundation repaired.  They did some research and found Saber to be the best option.  The Saber crew arrived at the home in a timely manner and began the project. The first thing that needed to be completed was to remove concrete in four areas of the property to excavate the soils and expose the foundation footings.  Once this process was completed the crew then installed 4 push piers to lift and stabilize the home.  Once the piers had been installed PolyLEVEL™ was injected beneath the homes foundation to further stabilize the property and prevent future settlement.  The home had shown signs of settlement, with cracks forming throughout, the Saber crew then completed the crack stitching of 33 cracks throughout the property.  The Saber crew also used the PolyLEVEL™ around the exterior of the property to lift and raise some un-level walkway slabs that once were trip hazards, with the PolyLEVEL™ injections complete the walkways no longer pose a threat.  The homeowners now have piece of mind knowing that they biggest investment is stabile and no longer has signs of settlement. 

A homeowner in Costa Mesa had contacted Saber regarding the settlement of their home.  The homeowner had noticed that cracks were beginning to form in the interior walls of the home as well as in the homes slab.  A Saber design specialist was scheduled to evaluate the property.  The finding of the evaluation showed that the home did have settlement issues, as suspected.  It was proposed to the homeowner that PolyLEVEL™ be added beneath the homes foundation to add stabilization of the property and to prevent any future settlement.  The homeowner knew that the issues needed to be resolved, Saber was then contracted to repair the foundation.  The Saber crew was scheduled to repair the homes settlement issue.  The Saber crew arrived at the home and went straight to work.  They injected PolyLEVEL™ up to seven feet below the existing slab into the soil for greater bearing capacity and soil stabilization, followed by injection of a closed cell, high density expanding structural polyurethane resin directly beneath the existing slab to attempt lift to maximum practical recovery.  Once the PolyLEVEL™ was injected and set up, the crew needed to repair some of the cracks that had formed in the slab. Crack repair by perpendicular saw cutting of crack and installing steel concrete staples 18"o.c. and a two component epoxy was completed by the crew.  The home is now stabilized from future settlement, and the cracks have been repaired. 

Costa Mesa homeowner Susan A. contacted Saber regarding cracks in the walls of her home, and sinking concrete walkways. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a thorough inspection of Susan's home. Voids had formed, caused by shifting soils under the foundation of the home, and the walkways. Our crew excavated holes next to Susan's home, where the voids had formed. Foundation Piers were installed at the base of the Foundation. Lifting Jacks were then used to pressurize the Piers. This lifted the areas of the Foundation, that had sunk. The attached picture shows the Pier with the air jack attached.The holes were filled in. Then Our crew drilled holes through the concrete slab walkways, and into the voids. Sabers State-of-the-Art PolyLevel Injection Process was used to fill the voids.  Susan was happy that her home and it's walkways, now have constant elevation.  

A homeowner in Alhambra wanted to schedule a fix for her sagging floor during the beginning of the new year of 2015. She gave Saber a call for an inspection before she left for her holiday vacation in 2014. She desired an affordable fix for the sagging floors in her home. Her home value had decreased and she needed to improve the selling price if she decided to put it on the market.  Upon inspecting her home, including the crawl space below her home, Saber's project design specialist determined that SmartJacks were the best solution to reinforce and support the flooring in her home. Saber's production crew was dispatched once an appointment could be made, convenient with the homeowner's return from her holiday vacation. Along with the SmartJacks, a girder beam was also installed beneath the floors to provide added support. Shims on the interior stem walls were installed as well as a wooden post with a strap. The homeowner also decided to lift the concrete walkways around her home with PolyLevel. Once the work was completed, the homeowner stated she was pleased with the results. Her property looked newer, with the leveled concrete, and the floors on the lower level of her home were no longer sagging. Doors closed easier, too.  

Project Design Specialist Ken F. visited David A. in Alhambra to evaluate his home for earthquake retrofitting. Ken suggested using Universal Foundation Plates to anchor the home to the foundation. David was impressed with Ken, stating "Ken's presentation was superb." Foreman Axle and his crew did the installation in the crawlspace of the home. David was very happy with the work. He writes, "The crew was motivated and possessed a great attitude. Both nice guys. Very impressive. Reminded me of the days when men took pride in their work." A local restaurant in Fountain Valley researched in a local trade magazine ways that they could fix the trip hazards around their outdoor patio and walkways. They searched online and found that Saber had the best reviews and experience for the job. Upon getting their free inspection and estimate, they signed on for Saber's commercial concrete grinding services.  In just a few days, with minimal disruption of customer traffic, Saber ground down to level every trip hazard in the restaurant's property. The job proved to be seamless and smooth, much to the happiness of the owner and patrons. Giving this restaurant's walkways a face lift truly made the property look newer and cleaner.

South Pasadena resident Adam J. contacted Saber regarding cracks in his concrete foundation. Our Project Design Specialist conducted a thorough inspection of Adam's home. Part of his foundation was sinking. Our crew dug holes and attached Push Piers to Adam's home. The picture shows an attached Push Pier lifting the foundation to make it level. Adam was pleased with the completed job and the clean up.

Monterey Park resident Robert H contacted Saber regarding cracks on the exterior wall of his home. Our project design specialist, Jason Sparks, performed a complete evaluation of Robert's home. Our crew was able to stabilize the foundation of the home by using smart jacks in the crawl space. Robert was satisfied with the result of this work and the clean up.

Monterey Park resident Gary L. contacted Saber regarding Cracking in the walls and walkways. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a thorough inspection. Voids had formed under the Foundation. This was causing areas of the Foundation to sink. Our Crew removed concrete and excavated holes where the Foundation had sunk. Then Helical Pier poles were driven into the holes. Brackets were attached. These brackets lifted the sunken areas of the foundation. The holes were filled, and the concrete was replaced. The homeowner now has a strong and stable home foundation, and peace of mind.
