Fixing Foundation with Piers in Fullerton
Fullerton resident Frank contacted Saber regarding gaps he'd noticed in his home's Foundation in 2009. The Home was built in 2000 and Frank was the original homeowner. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a complete inspection of Frank's home. Frank had previously tried to fix this issue by jacking up the Foundation, and pouring cement over it, and filling up the hole. This isn't a industry standard way to strengthen a Foundation. The Jack will eventually fail, and it is surrounded by solid cement. This creates a lot of Debris removal to fix. It can also cause the job, to correct this issue, to take longer. A example of this is shown in the attached Picture.
Our Crew removed all of these Jacks and concrete that were done incorrectly. Then we cut the excess concrete off of the Foundation to make the Foundation flush with the home. We then attached Foundation Piers to the base of the Foundation, to strengthen it. These lifted the areas of the Foundation that had sunk. Then we also installed Tiebacks to Stabilize Franks home from side to side. Last of all we filled the holes next to the Foundation correctly.
Frank was happy with the results of the job that was done correctly.

Foundation Issues in Fullerton
Fullerton resident Peter G. contacted Saber regarding cracks in the Foundation of his home. Saber's Project Design Specialist performed a Free three hour Homeowner Inspection. There were Voids under the Foundation. These Voids were causing the Foundation to sink and crack. The floors were sagging due to failing Support Posts in the Crawlspace. After years of Earthquakes, Peter's Home was starting to slide on it's Foundation.
Our crew excavated holes. We then attached and Pressurized Push Piers to the Base of the Foundation. See the attached picture. This Lifted and Strengthened the Foundation. The Voids were then Filled with Polyurethane to Stabilize the Foundation. Universal Foundation Plates and A35 Framing Angles were attached to Peter's Home and Foundation. These Seismic Retrofit Components strengthen the connection between the Home and It's Foundations. I Beams were then placed under the Floor Joists. These I Beams were then lifted and Held in Place by all metal Smart Jacks. This eliminated the Sagging Floors.

Stabilizing a 1956 Home in Fullerton, Ca
Rob, a homeowner in Fullerton, CA, has lived in his 1956-built home since February 2016. From the beginning, he noticed signs of a potential foundation issue but initially delayed addressing it. However, with the arrival of babies in the home and plans to stay another 5-10 years, Rob knew it was time to take action. After receiving professional advice to inspect the crawlspace, Rob contacted Saber Foundation Repair to assess the situation.
Our design specialist conducted a comprehensive inspection of the home and crawlspace, identifying the problem as foundation settlement. To stabilize the home and ensure the safety of Rob's family, the specialist recommended the installation of push piers. Sammy’s crew installed eight push piers around the home, effectively stabilizing the foundation and addressing the settlement issue.
With the push piers in place, Rob’s home is now secure and stable, providing a safe environment for his family. Rob can rest easy, knowing that the foundation is solid and that his home is well-prepared for the years ahead.
Cracking in Stucco and Drywall
Craig C. of Dana Point, California, noticed cracking in his stucco and drywall. After researching the issue he found Saber, and called for an estimate. Shortly after the call, an appointment was set for a Saber's Sales representative to evaluate the property. The finding was that the home had settlement, the interior evaluations showed a maximum variance of -1.6 inches across the area measured. So the recommendation was made to underpin the area as well as raise the foundation to support it from any future failure.
Saber scheduled a crew to go the home and resolve the issue. The project began by the crew marking out the nine pier locations, once the pier locations were marked the crew began digging to expose the footings of the property. Once the footings were exposed the equipment, for driving pipe, was set up. Once the pipe was driven to the proper depth, the brackets were mounted with hardware.
Once the hardware is installed on all the brackets the property is ready for the lift. The lift was completed and polyurethane was injected for added support. The cracks that had been formed prior to the stabilization, were traced and epoxied. Once the lift was complete the holes were back filled and an inspection of the property was completed.
There is no doubt that now Craig can have piece mind knowing that his property is stable and the value of his property is increased, due to the foundation repair.
Stabilizing a Family Home in Dana Point, Ca.
A family living in their home in Dana Point, Ca. for over 20 years had begun to see the advancement of cracks in the exterior walls over the course of the recent year. The husband and wife became worried about foundation settlement and wanted a permanent solution that was done right.
Saber's project design specialist found the home had been built on soil that had been experiencing shifting and settlement. A plan was made to use push piers to stabilize the home in order to prevent any further settlement over time. The family had no plans on moving or selling the home. The customer was responsible for removing bushes and other landscaping at pier locations as well as remove cabinets and shelving from other areas of stabilization. In order to install the piers, Saber's production crew had to remove concrete at the pier locations.
After the pier installation, Saber's team replaced the concrete over the pier locations and cleaned the job site to customer expectation. The crew's foreman walked the job site with the husband, explaining the work that had been completed. The family was impressed with Saber's dilligence and the effective solution they provided for their beloved home.
